Worst blogger in America?

You might think that I'm going to talk about someone's blog I read recently and what I read on that blog. Not too fast....I'm talking about ME and here's why. We had the wonderful opportunity this last Thursday to have dinner with some friends, some of which, we haven't seen in years. The dinner was arranged and planned by our friends Richard and Brenda. We had a great time reminiscing, catching up and making plans to get together again in the future. You would think a serious blogger would have gotten some photos of these great friends BUT NO. This blogger DID NOT. As soon are we got in the truck and headed back to our rig that night Glenda and I looked at each other and said(at the same time) WE DIDN'T GET ANY PICTURES. Uhggg. How could we not get photos of everyone?

Photos help in telling the story of the event, place, people or activity. No photos and the story doesn't have much life. In my opinion. Therefore I don't have a story to tell of our get together. I can tell you this much. Everyone was in good health, doing well in their lives and their families were well too. All great things but without a face to go with the story...well, not much punch.

I have done this several times in the past too but not in regard to an event like this where it is possible we might not see some of these folks again. I have been kicking myself ever since. I don't know why I don't think of things like that at the time of the event. Maybe I'm having too much fun. Maybe I just don't want to take the time. Maybe I'm just lazy.I don't know for sure. I started this blog just to keep a record of our RV experiences, family and friends and to learn more from other bloggers but now having a few followers I feel an obligation to keep your interest and hopefully encourage you to follow your dreams.

Even with that being said.... I may be the Worst Blogger in America.

I would appreciate any comments from my blogging friends about my concerns. Has this happened to you? What helped you going forward with your blog? OR if you aren't a blogger and would like to comment, please feel free to do so. Rant over.

Thank you.

  1. I feel your pain! We just met up with Dave and Dianne and while I mentioned taking a picture, did anyone? NO! Although I did get a picture of our lovely appetizer, I forgot to take a picture of all of us! Frustrating? YES! I always feel like the pain in the butt person who, as soon as we say Hellos and Hugs, wants to take a picture. Well next time I'm doing it. So for those that roll their eyes, oh, here she comes with the camera. TOUGH!

  2. Don't feel bad about it because I've noticed when we are really busy the camera gets left behind or remains hidden in a pocket. It seems different when we are traveling and seeing new sites but when we're surrounded by the daily grind we tend to be much more laxed about taking pictures. Don't forget that the original idea behind writing your blog was a personal record of events that take place in your life. By simply changing the settings in the controls you choose to share your life with the world. Since we all go through these droughts don't worry about it because You'll be back.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. That's a great observation...routine events, daily grind more lax. It still is a journal anyway you look at it. Thanks for your comment. Helps me keep my perspective. I will be back. 😄
